Jetting off the French Riveria is a magical experience at any time of the year, but it might the most special during the middle of February when Nice celebrates its Carnival. From February 11th through the 25th, the Mediterranean coast is lit up with celebrations that include parade, performances by over 1,000 musicians, and fireworks, all highlighted by “flower battles” that feature astonishing costumes and characters tossing out lilies, mimosas, and daisies to the crowds, and capped off the crowning of a carnival king.

The thirty-fourth incarnation of the star-studded St Barts music festival will offer more than a dozen nights of the finest music and dance performances, all taking place against an idyllic island backdrop of sandy beaches, sea breezes and tropical flowers. Some of the world’s most prominent classical, opera, ballet and jazz stars will take to the stage in quaint churches and community halls across the Caribbean hotspot to the delight of visitors and locals alike. Each year the repertoire of events is enriched, diversified and enhanced, with films, literature, fine art and sculpture now on the schedule. Cultural exchange and educational programs are now also mainstays of the event.

That’s the purpose of the new Y Charter annual magazine; it presents the reader with a new world of high end superyachts and the stunning destinations that one can travel to and explore via yacht charter.

There are few things in life as rewarding as being able to contribute to a great cause, and the Y Charter team experienced that feeling at the Larger Than Life Foundation Gala Dinner recently. As one of the seven sponsors, Y Charter raised $8,700 to support Israeli children suffering from cancer.

Charter The World’s Coolest New Yacht

We thought we’d seen it all in the world of superyachts – but really, we haven’t seen anything yet! We’d like to introduce you to the Adastra, an insanely cool superyacht that is now available for charter.

Once described by Boating International as one of the coolest superyachts that they wished were available for charter, now the Adastra can be yours – for a voyage at least.

Built in 2012, this futuristic trimaran yacht is he is 42.5 meters, and designed as a way for her owner Anto Marden to explore the South Pacific – and perhaps soon, the rest of the world. Meant mostly for the owners to  cruise in alone (with crew) there are two additional cabins to accommodate guests if need be. That said, this might be the ultimate honeymoon yacht.

Post-Hurricane Irma Update

Our hearts and minds are with everyone who is dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Irma, Maria, and Harvey. The Y Charter team has been lucky enough to suffer little damage and our boats are fully functional and ready for charter soon. Best wishes to everyone!
