Via SoldBoats – U.S. brokers posted a moderate increase in sales volume in January and a major gain in total price paid for the boats sold. Brokerage volume rose 5 percent compared to the same month in 2016, and total value increased by 62 percent, with 1,585 boats selling for $323.3 million. Members reported that this increase was connected to the excellent dollar value – which was approximately $80 million more than any January in the previous five years. That said, the total sales volume was significantly higher than the past two years, but the actual number of boats sold was slightly lower than the average during the past five Januarys.
